A traditional church wedding, with ritual and religious words, does not fit in with everyone's outlook on life or hopes for the future. For those wishing to undertake a Civil Ceremony at a Register Office or licensed venue, you have to fit in with a standard framework, cannot currently be married outdoors, and there are limitations on time, place and content of the ceremony.

A Humanist Wedding can take place anywhere and will be designed to suit individual requirements. It can be as dignified and serious as a church wedding, as romantic and creative as you wish, e.g. in gardens, marquees, on boats, in castles, on beaches or wherever you wish!

Couples regard the Humanist Ceremony as that which truly makes them married. It is the real celebration, expressing the deepest feelings in the company of family and friends. Humanist Weddings are truly inclusive and non-discriminatory. Pagan elements, including Handfasting, can be included in a Humanist Wedding Ceremony conducted by Richard Aldridge.

In addition to conducting the Humanist Wedding Ceremony, Richard Aldridge has many years experience as a Toastmaster/Master of Ceremonies and can advise on etiquette and traditions for the whole of your Wedding Day.

Ceremonies are regularly conducted overseas, and spoken in French as well as English!             (see the page "Ceremonies in France")
